Abstract :
The main issues of automatic generation control (AGC) systems over communication network are pointed out. A new approach to design a predictive controller for networked AGC systems is proposed by constructing the control prediction generator (CPG) and the network delay compensator (NDC). The method is applied to design a AGC system for a 2-control area power system and the simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
