  • Abstract
    According to the basic characteristics of arc welding and cutting, digital control system of ZVS arc welding/cutting inverter power source is researched and developed. This paper discusses the realizing principle of ZVS (zero voltage switch) soft switching in detail, analyzes the relation of the key component parameters and realization of ZVS, describes the realization method of phase-shifted PWM based on DSP and software flow chart of the control system, and presents the transition of the alternation between the voltage loop and current loop, which can meet the basic external characteristics of arc welding and cutting. Through plentiful experiments and tests, it can be found that the ZVS arc welding/cutting inverter power source based on digital control system operates well in various working situations.
