  • Abstract
Original features such as compactness and Lightness make high-speed axial flux machines eligible for distributed generating application. Due to the high rotor speed and high frequency of the stator winding current, the design of a high-speed generator is much difficult and quite different from designing a low speed conventional generator. The design consideration of high-speed axial flux generators (HSAFG) is introduced in this paper. The loss calculation (based on design equations) is considered in details. Results on the efficiency, total loss power ... with a number of critical design parameter, including magnet material (Br), air gap, and outer diameter of machine are presented.
