Abstract
In the THz frequency range, surface plasmons may be as useful as in optics, but their properties are quite different because of huge value dielectric function of metals in far infrared. We use a typical THz time-domain spectroscopy setup in reflection configuration and shallow metal gratings to investigate THz SP properties on the metal grating: excitation, duration, propagation, reflection.
