Abstract :
We have been developing Multi-Fourier transform Interferometer (MuFT), which is a bolometric interferometer in millimeter and submillimeter wave bands. This is realized by applying the aperture synthesis technique to the Martin & Puplett type Fourier transform spectrometer. We report an astronomical testing observation by MuFT set in Nobeyama radio observatory, Japan. We have succeeded in a broad band imaging observations in millimeter and submillimeter wave bands at the first time with a bolometric interferometer. We also have succeeded in realization of the multiplying type bolometric interferometer with two elements bolometer and shown that 1/f noise in the baseline fluctuation is removed. We also argue about the application of MuFT to Cosmic Microwave Background Polarization observations.
