Abstract :
Possibilities for realizing continuous-wave (cw) frequency-quadrupling three-cavity gyroklystrons with successive frequency-doubling in each stage are studied in detail for the both W- and THz frequency bands. Detailed analysis of excitation of spurious waves at the fundamental cyclotron resonance in the output cavity is provided. Possibilities to operate at even higher than fourth cyclotron harmonic are also analyzed.
