Abstract :
Simultaneously oscillated multi-line FIR lasers from a single FIR laser cavity pumped by two wavelength CO2 lasers have been developed for plasma diagnostics and the other applications. We have obtained simultaneous oscillations as following : (i) 60.5- and 118.8 mum-CH3OH lasers from pumping by 9R(18) CO2 laser and 9P(36) CO2 laser, (ii) 70.5- and 118.8-mum CH3OH lasers from pumping by 9P(34) CO2 laser and 9P(36) CO2 laser, and (iii) 118.8-mum CH3OH and 253.7-mum CD3OH lasers from pumping by 9P(36) CO2 laser and 10R(36) CO2 laser. An output power of a 118.8-mum CH3OH laser has been enhanced by two same CO2 laser lines pumping.
