Abstract
Gyrotrons require a nonreflecting vacuum window. For step-tunable gyrotrons this problem can be solved by using a Brewster window or a variable spacing double disk window. Each has certain advantages. In this paper we will discuss some calculations concerning the tunability and loss in the double disk window.
