Abstract :
Ion yields of C+n (n<6) from methane, ethane, butane and octane are measured from 1013 W/cm2 to 1019 W/cm2, with photoelectron spectra up to 0.5 MeV. As one reaches 1017 W/cm2 the molecular response becomes atomic-like.
