Abstract :
After four years of previous collaboration and activities, the Ministry of Health (MoH) of Kosovo created a framework for Health Technology (HT) Policy and Strategy in May 2007, with the assistance of the World Health Organization (WHO/TFP/HDS) and the USA-based non-governmental organization (NGO) Global Assistance for Medical Equipment (GAME). This framework addresses many of the health technology management (HTM) challenges identified in Kosovo´s public healthcare delivery system. GAME is a coalition of volunteer global medical equipment professionals who either come on-site and or assist via electronic means. GAME and WHO will focus this HTM improvement model next in East Africa.
