RailSense®: Improving reliability and availability of rail assets through dynamic modeling

The reliability and availability of rolling stock and infrastructure and its subsystem is a key success factor for the performance of the Dutch rail system. The RailSense^reg approach to improving reliability and availability is based on the application of sensors, innovative data management and real-time model-based analysis. The methodology has proven its worth in a scientific setting and is currently employed in the Dutch railway system.
