The use of wireless technology for reliable remote condition monitoring in the rail industry

This paper illustrates how wireless technology can be applied for reliable remote condition monitoring in the rail industry by way of a practical example using the award winning remote rail temperature monitoring system called RTM. Developed back in 2003 RTM can now be found in service on the UK´s high speed rail network, the London Underground and Cross Channel Rail Links.
