Abstract
Orbital debris in low-earth-orbit poses an increasing threat to humanpsilas space action. Spaceborne radar detection technique is a powerful complementarity for ground based radars or optical telescopes. The necessity of orbital debris detection using spaceborne radar is discussed; the design of spaceborne radar system is deeply studied on many aspects including operation frequency band, antenna type, observation mode, signal type, and location mode. Moreover, the space-based real-time radar signal processing technique for debris detection is analyzed in detail.
