Abstract
Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS) represents one of the professional diseases with serious impact on different working categories: forestry workers, farmers, workers in mining industry, machine building industry, constructions, dental technicians. In order to prevent its incidence, research is carried on for developing advanced systems for reducing vibration influence on the human body. Modelling, simulation and testing of hand-arm system are not straightforward, since it represents a complex system with physical and mechanical characteristics depending on several factors. This paper presents the studies performed for developing reliable hand-arm models, further used for analysis in the view of reducing the vibration exposure levels.
