Abstract
The application of environmental isotopes provides a useful tool that provides an indication of the origin of groundwater. Tracers are widely used in unconfined aquifers to evaluate groundwater rapidity and travel periods. Paper describes authors studies in the field of groundwater-surface water interactions in the hyporheic area by using the stable hydrogen isotope deuterium techniques.
