Logistic chain generation with traceability features using web services composition

This paper addresses the problem of logistics in the context of supplying the goods requested by a business partner. We present a logistic chain model that captures the entities and relations involved in the process of creating and using a logistic chain and managing traceability data. As a solution for the model instantiation, we propose a semantically enhanced broker that acts a logistics provider by planning, executing and monitoring logistic chains, including upstream and downstream traceability, according to the requested parameters and quality of service.
