Abstract
This paper presents a rule-based method to recognize the boundaries of Thai complex sentences using three specified relative pronoun. We have used the first prize essays of the King Bhumipholpsilas scholarship award 1979 - 2004 as a learning corpus to analyse the structure of complex sentences including these three relative pronouns and create the grammars in the form of ldquoUnitexrdquo graphs for bounding the complex sentences. The results are 73% of recall and 68% of precision.
