  • Abstract
    Gamma and neutron radiation is produced during operation of linear accelerators. Therefore, monitoring of both radiations is an important issue particularly in linear accelerators. Radiation monitoring is especially important for accelerators such as FLASH or X-FEL, as control electronics is installed in the tunnel and exposed to radiation. Produced radiation poses potential danger for electronic devices. Radiochromic films are used to quantify gamma dose absorbed by electronic circuits. User friendly, portable radiochromic film reader is required to perform regular radiation measurements. This paper describes briefly the design of radiation portable radiochromic film reader and results of the first measurements carried out in FLASH tunnel.
