Abstract :
The paper describes ring registers and their features. There is also proposed a method of using a ring LFSR to design a Circular IBIST for interconnect faults detection. Practical examinations of a ring LFSR application for testing of an 8 and 16-bits buses are presented. Some important observations regarding the types of characteristic polynomials used in ring LFSRs are also included. Finally, the obtained results are summarised..
