Abstract
The extension set is one of three mainstays of extenics and the dependent function is its core, so it became an important work of extenics to be studied. Because of the complexity of system, the values of some characters of the researched thing should be denoted by intervals. In order to treat this situation, we propose the interval location value and establish the interval elementary dependent function, which optimum value is not at the midpoint, and obtained some properties. The proposed function unifies the nest of intervals that have common endpoint or not, and solves the quantification problem of unexact basic element. It also avoids the impact of the level and dimension of values, and broadens the applied fields of extenics.
