Abstract :
This paper presents an intelligent query approach to intrusion detection system (IDS). In this approach, functional unification grammar (FUG) of natural language process (NLP) was utilized in intelligent query for IDS audit database. The XML schema was used to describe vocabulary library including word, phrase, symbol and all kinds of predefined rule. Meanwhile the feature structure was used to describe the structure of vocabulary, phrase and sentence. The transformation algorithm from object tree to SQL query sentence was designed. The experimental results demonstrate that FUG is effective to query operation of IDS audit database.
