Abstract
Internet Protocol Security (IPSec) is a standard for securing internet communication and, a widely deployed mechanism for implementing Virtual Private Networks (VPNs). This paper present the performance analysis of IPSec VPNs for videoconference in real time multimedia traffic over a secure communication links by implementing an IPSec-based VPNs technology. The impact of IPSec VPNs on multimedia under a stress traffic condition with particular attention to transmission delay has been evaluated and the results shows that degradation occurs as IPSec VPNs encrypted with AES could not offer good performance in latency to the videoconference.
