Abstract
Some aspects of engineering materials non-destructive testing (NDT) are represented in terms of its application to the fracture mechanics. The active NDT methods which utilize of the sounding or stimulated physical fields as well as the acoustic emission analysis of materialpsilas space damaging and the inspection information processing are considered briefly. The modern concept of the NDT methods development for the purposes of technical diagnostics is formulated.
