Abstract :
The analysis of microstrip and rectangular waveguide bends was described by the author by using the method of lines (MoL) with discretization lines of different length. In these algorithms the bend angle must be relatively small. In this paper, we show that we can combine the MoL with finite differences and how we can combine different coordinate systems in the different subparts of the structures. The algorithms then can be used also for other more complex devices.
