Abstract
Supporting the moment method (MM) formulation by the physical optics (PO) approximation is the well-known prospective way towards improving computational efficiency of MM-based approach at higher frequencies. In this paper, the results of numerical analysis of electrically-large, cannonical problems using the MM-PO hybrid method are presented. The goal of the analysis is to examine the offered saving in terms of both CPU time and memory storage relative to the conventional MM approach.
