Abstract :
The analyzed planar system of strips originates from an infinite periodic system by inclusion of the narrower strip and spacing in the middle of the system. This breaks the system periodicity making it quasi-periodic, as the system remains periodic outside of the inclusion. A method for analyzing such the structures is presented. Analogous systems are applied in the Fabry-Perot resonators, for instance. Numerical examples present the electric field in the plane of strips in both spectral and spatial domains.
