Abstract :
In this paper a 3-step procedure for calibration of the open-ended coaxial resonator designed for determination of complex electric permittivity of large samples is described. The presented calibration procedure has been designed as a part of retro-modelling technique based on comparing measurements with data obtained with an EM simulator. Using the described approach it is possible to adjust the numerical model of the resonator so that it matches the real structure, which is a prerequisite if properties of unknown media are to be determined.
