Abstract :
In this paper, a parameter design of the 4-band symmetric low-pass filters with short support is given and the corresponding scaling functions are constructed. At the same time, we use these 4-band wavelet filters in this paper to do image fusion with new fusion rules which we proposed. Finally, we compared the results of image fusion using 4 band wavelet filters with the results of image fusion using DB2 wavelets, Haar wavelets. Meanwhile, we also compared the results of image fusion using 4-band wavelet filters with different lengths.
