Abstract
An electrical transmission line designed with nonlinear-dispersive characteristics can be suitably described by the Korteweg de Vries equation [1], which is known to support solitary wave solutions. Work is underway to exploit the tendency for a pulsed waveform to decompose into an array of high frequency oscillations [2], demonstrating the characteristics peculiar to soliton waves.
