Abstract :
With the development of active compensation for electrified railway load, it is necessary to analyze the configuration of active compensation. The requirements of electrified railway loads to the configuration of active compensation are discussed. An identification process for all active compensation topologies is presented. The optimized topologies for 25 KV AC railway power supply systems are identified and summarized. The topologies which are suitable for electric locomotive load are found.
