  • Abstract
    The stacker crane is the main transportation equipment of performing goods transit in the automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS). Speed control is one of the key technologies of the stacker crane control system. In the paper, on the basis of research to the traditional control method, a double-model fuzzy controller is designed and applied to the speed control of the stacker crane, which combines the fuzzy-PID control with the traditional PI control. According to the actual operation situation, the system simulation model is built. Through the Simulink simulation of MATLAB, the results show that the double-model fuzzy logic controller can eliminate steady state error and overshoot phenomenon. Its dynamic performance is better than conventional PI control. It can meet the control demand of the aisle stacker crane, and improve the work efficiency. Beside, the implement of fuzzy-PID controller in the PLC control system of stacker crane is introduced.
