Abstract
This paper deals with the study of the water quality assessment through application of BP neural network. Water quality of Sanmenxia Reach in Yellow River is evaluated by using BP neural network and compared with grey clustering method. The result indicates that BP neural network model can resolve complicated non-linear relation between evaluating gene and water quality grade, and the method is convenient, reliable and precise, so it can be used commonly and objectively. And according to the results of evaluation, contaminative degrees of FuYang river are analyzed, which can offer measures of prevention and cure for the protection of water environments.
