Abstract :
Cascading dynamics can be resulted when the failures occur only on a few nodes in numerous large scale networks. It may bring serious catastrophe in these systems. In this paper, the cascading dynamics in weighted evolutionary networks is investigated. Four attack strategies, including degree based, strength based, load based and random ones are all discussed. Numerical simulations show that, besides of the degree and the load, the strength also plays a key role in the cascading dynamics on weighted networks. The finding is more natural and general than previous ones for real world communication systems.
