Abstract :
In recent years, service outsourcing has been thriving all around the world, as an important part of service industry, software outsourcing, especially offshore software outsourcing has been paid more attention by many developing countries. As the cost of Indian software companies has been higher and higher, customers are turning to China for solutions. But China is still on the bottom end of the outsourcing value chain because of scale, talents and other factors. Knowledge transfer is an effective way for China´s software industry to promote the level of value chain. The paper analyzes the knowledge transfer route in offshore software outsourcing by case study method, and suggests four routes for promoting the level of the value chain of Chinese software outsourcing.
