  • Abstract
    At present Web services are thought as the revolution of the next generation e-commerce and its technical architectures include UDDI, WSDL, SOAP, XML and so on. Web service discovery is one of the most important parts in the web service architectures. The paper first compares current service retrieval technologies, and then shows the problem that UDDI, which is the current discovery mechanism, cannot understand the content of web service. The paper presents two discovery mechanisms based on the cooperation of UDDI and DF based on the standard of FIPA and gives the system composition and DF registry work flow to show how to realize web discovery. At last the paper verifies the feasibility of the two given methods through two examples and some figures and tables. With the help of agent and ontology, the problem can be tackled by the cooperation of UDDI and ontology query mechanism DF based on the standard of FIPA. It can make up for UDDI and improve the efficiency of web service discovery.
