Abstract
The role of the leader firm and university in transferring knowledge in a regional automotive industry is investigated. Through surveying the suppliers located in Liuzhou, China, we collected the data of the industrial engineering (IE) department setting and the number of IE student employed in those enterprises to measure the effect of knowledge transfer. The result shows the leader firm and university spread the IE knowledge in the regional automotive industry.
