Abstract
A new method for reduction peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems is proposed in this paper. The PAPR characteristics are analyzed. From the foundation of the analysis, a pseudorandom sequence matrix is adapted to reduce aperiodic auto-correlation of the transmitting sequence. Simulation results verify the improved performance of PAPR using this approach. The method is simple, low complexity and it is easier to combine the method with other PAPR reducing technique so as to further reduce the PAPR in OFDM system.
