Changes in the Structure of Telecommunications Expenditure and the Causes

This study examines the causes of increase of demand for telecommunications focusing on increase in telecommunications expenditure. Advance to the information society is necessarily accompanied with increase in telecommunications services including mobile telephone and Internet. As a point of view that the main reason of increase in telecommunications expenditure results from transition of expenditure pattern in this information society, this study analyzes the structural change of household expenditure and telecommunications expenditure, inspecting a common pattern of the changes.
