  • Abstract
    Complexity of products, as well as the services offered by online stores and electronic marketplaces is increasing. As the development of concurrent engineering and multidisciplinary collaborative design, the theory of the distributed collaborative design for complex product came into being. And that this paper defines meta-service system on the basis of intelligent engineering. Then a distributed concurrent and collaborative design platform is presented. The platform based on meta-service system integrates some large-scale commercial engineering software tools and expert systems so as to quickly accomplish the design and analysis of complex product such as the railway bogies in this paper, which proves the feasibility of the platform architecture.
