Abstract

Nowadays, "Information Islands", inadequate flexibility and reusability are primary problems existing in postgraduate education administration systems (PEAS). To solve those problems, in this paper, Service Oriented Architecture is introduced into Rational Unified Process (RUP) for developing integrated PEAS with much improved flexibility and reusability. Models devised in three core workflows of RUP: business modeling, requirements, analysis and design, are presented in sequence and the feasibility of those models is validated by a prototype implemented by using web services.
