Abstract :
To study the relations between the transportation development and ecological environment may has the vital significance to the transportation long-enduring development. The domestic and foreign research about transportation development ecological carrying capacity has been mentioned when studies the region ecological carrying capacity, on which hasn´t specially concentrated research. The paper elaborates the implication of the city transportation development ecological carrying capacity, unifying the definition and the characteristic of ecological carrying capacity. In view of the city transportation development actuality, the development of urban transportation system is divided into five subsystems. The system dynamics analysis method has been carried on the structure analysis to the city transportation development ecological carrying capacity. Simulation software ´Vensim´ is used to analyze each subsystem and get the feedback loop. Then SD equation of each subsystem is established. Finally, in example analysis, applying the relevant statistical data in Wuhan city to the SD equation, the ecological carrying capacity development tendency of each subsystem is simulated. The research would have a referenced role to the city transportation coordinated development within the scope of the ecological carrying capacity.
