Abstract :
In view of the shortcomings exist in current process of medical transfusion, a wireless distributed system for transfusion supervision was designed with infrared detection technology, computer network technology, embedded system technology and wireless transmission technology. The system is a network which consisted of a host computer, transfusion monitors, and interconnection mechanisms between the host computer and monitors. Comprised by a PC and a wireless adapter, the host computer managed the basic data of patients and the transfusion information, and controlled the transfusion monitors through network to detect and regulate the transfusion speed and give an alarm at the abnormity. The transfusion monitors, which consisted of MSP430F169, dripping speed detecting, LCD, sound & light alarm, keyboard, stepper motor drive, and wireless transmission modules, supervised the dripping speed of infusion of fluid. The experiment results show that the system is easy to use, the measurement of the transfusion speed is accurate, the response of the transfusion speed adjustment is rapid, and the alarm is reliable. At the same time, the difficult to fix the cables was avoided by the wireless communication.
