Abstract
A step-variable shot detection algorithm of soccer video based on DC image is presented in this paper. The proposed method uses the DC image as original data and the grass ratio as feature parameter in soccer field. This algorithm only needs partly decompression from the encode bit-stream and doesnpsilat need all the histogram comparison between adjacent frames, so it can reduce the computational complexity. The simulation results on different soccer sequences show that the algorithm is effective for detecting scene change boundaries in MPEG soccer video.
