  • Abstract
This paper studies the competitive powers evaluations of construction enterprises in all of the provinces (autonomous regions) and municipalities in China by using DEA. In the process of establishing evaluation model, after a comprehensive analysis, number of construction enterprises and number of employees are selected as input indexes, and the annual gross products of all parts of China and per capita productivity are selected as output indexes. In selecting evaluative data, for eliminating the voluntary influences on evaluation results which are brought about by evaluative data differences and reflecting the construction competitiveness objectively and actually, in accordance with nonparametric statistics theory, this paper analyses data of past decades in all parts of China taking Spearman rank correlation coefficient as measure index, and then chooses data of one of the representative years as evaluative basis. In modifying the efficiency of DEA, this paper analyses all parts of China comprehensively from ldquotechnical efficiencyrdquo and ldquoscale efficiencyrdquo, and supplies those DEA non-effective regions with optimized results by applying DEA projection analysis, so that scientific references are given to those construction enterprises to improve their competitive powers.
