Abstract
In order to achieve the accurate traffic control of P2P in application layer, a bypass mechanism for P2P control is proposed, which first estimates the packets rates by the TSW (Time Sliding Window) rate estimator and then blocks certain sessions by some strategies. Based on a large number of experiments and theoretical analysis, this paper discusses the appropriate value of the time sliding window of TSW rate estimator and puts forward an effective interrupt algorithm with probability to avoid dense interruption. A P2P traffic control system for experiment is implemented, and a set of experiments show that this mechanism is capable of achieving accurate P2P traffic control.
