Abstract :
Though collaboration is an elementary function in engineering management, it could not usually be taught by instructions and collaboration abilities are not easily fostered among students without right cases or practices. One of the goals in engineering management is to educate students to become successful engineering managers who need both technical knowledge and management skills. This paper presents a collaboration model based on internet and cases to teach students comprehensive management abilities. Students can practice engineering collaborations in the visualized and graphic Internet model which can represent the organization relationship of all engineering participants directly. A group of students testify this collaboration model by building a bridge project and communicating with each other. The feedback of learning evaluation proves that students in engineering management can benefit much from this model.
