  • Abstract
Nowadays, the whole society is undergoing transformation on resources, groups, conceptions, contents and environments of learning, however, the current e-learning system cannot adapt to this transformation. The concept of social group collaborative learning (SGCL) was brought forward in our previous work. In this paper, we present a design of social group collaborative learning system. In our design, we try to provide mechanisms and technologies that can bring the e-learning into play and support social group collaborative learning. In the system, individuals can construct their knowledge maps in personal space and share whole or part of their knowledge maps in public space. The system will aggregate all shared knowledge maps into group knowledge maps. Individuals can refer to group knowledge maps when they construct their own and they can vote for and against on nodes and links of group knowledge maps. Communications and collaborations between personal space and public space are supported by tags, RSS and voting technologies. The whole system changes dynamically as individuals construct their knowledge maps in their learning processes.
