  • Abstract
    With the advent of network and multimedia technology, the vital force is brought to reform of teaching modes on electrotechnics curriculum, such as the exploitation of multimedia courseware, the development of multimedia aided-instruction system based on campus network and so on. This paper presents the development process of E-learning platform on electrotechnics based on web. It will transform the traditional one-way expository teaching mode into the two-way interactive teaching mode. The design principle and each module function have been introduced in detail. Finally, the main characteristics of this multimedia web-based learning platform on electrotechnics has been clarified. It integrates plentiful information resources concerned in electrotechnics by means of many representation technique, which could train the independent study ability of the students and increase the studentspsila interest in learning. The three key taches including theoretics teaching, experiment teaching and after-school guidance, were carried out successfully. This E-learning platform plays an important and incomparable role in practical teaching process of electrical engineering.
