  • Abstract
    The paper suggests a new fuzzy logic approach to ship course control based on Takagi-Sugeno PID-fuzzy controllers designed in terms of Iterative Feedback Tuning. The fuzzy controllers belong to the class of low-cost automation solutions due to the simplicity and transparency of the design method and the easy controller implementation. One case study focused on servo system control validates the theoretical approach by real-time experimental results.
