Abstract :
The paper demonstrates that every mono-harmonic signal with a given amplitude and phase can be expressed as the sum of three-phase components. Although the expansion is ambiguous, the differences between amplitudes remain constant. Exploiting this property, the original method for non-contact diagnostic of electric power transmission lines has been developed, which employs the measurement of electric field. An experimental model has been set up to investigate the performance of the proposed approach. The results obtained are presented and discussed. They show that the method can be used for express-analysis of electric power transmission systems.
